The Orkney barbarians are back at it with another super strong single malt.  At 128 proof, this smoky dram is an ultra intense whisky.  The multiple  barrel aging is key to the dried fruit and honey flavors.  I found a thick palate bursting with complexity and power aplenty. You may choose to add a drop or 2 of water but I enjoyed it as bottled.  It’s a tad harsh, hey ,they’re descended from the Vikings!,  But it’s certainly enjoyable and worth buying.  Rated a 7.5 on the autumn snob scale.  Sláinte Mhath
